Well, all the guys who I have sent a message via facebook, to go for climbing on Sunday, where not in the planned venue. Actually I thought about that as it happens quite often: they just say "..waw lets go to climbing, let us know when you go.." and on the certain day they all are busy. That's why I took my "Kong" absorber before leaving home, to have it instead of belayer ;)

From April 27 to May 10 our guests from France Alex Chabot, Sam Bie and Pippa Planques did 7 amazing FAs in Garni, Arpa gorges and Noravanq canyon. Actually it had started even before, when Sam Bie found the pics of the basalt columns on which we where climbing during “Arev” Armenian First Ascent Open Festival in the climbing websites where the announce of our event was posted. Since then Sam and me have been in touch planning the project.

On March, 24th in the Voronezh sport centre "Energy" solemn opening, of the main youth domestic start of a season on rock-climbing – superiority of Russia, has taken place. In capital of Chernozem region have gathered over 380 sportsmen from 10 till 19 years from more than 30 regions of Russia.

Early morning on Sunday, November 22 we started our training. Me, Luca and Tatevik headed to the usual training spot – bouldering section underneath Spitak rescue center.

On Sunday my dad drove: me, Mkhitar, Tatevik, and Vardan to Noravanq to go rock climbing. I woke up at 7:30Am to meet Mkhitar and Tatevik at a bus stop in town that was next to the “Sas” convenient store

At the evening of July 24, we found a lovely camping area near the river in Garni gorge. July 25 was the day of Garni gorges basalt columns research .

July 18, we took the equipment and went about 2 kilometers up by the gorge to examine the columns there to climb the next day.

July 17 was a calm day and with all the team we went up by the slope to the “Devil’s tower”. The lower part of the tower columns are corrosive, and I decided to make the line by the separated from the tower lower part column.
