Up The Rocks

Some sport climbing fun while Hell’s canyon climbing period of “Arev” Armenian First Ascent Open Festival

July 14, Examining the rocks of the canyon. The upper part rocks of the canyon seemed chossy and we didn’t like much the down part gray high rocks of the canyon as the relief seemed a bit poor for protection.

However, the rocks there are very good to add some more sport routes. And surely the cave on the right section of the canyon is an amazing one for bouldering.
Richard and Hana from Czech started to climb on the single pitch sport routes “Vishup” 6a, “Chekhk” 6a, “Salamander” 6a and “Noy” 6b, set up by Alexey Trubachev.
After Richard decreased the estimation of some of the routes: “Chekhk” 5b, “Salamander” 5c and “Noy” 6a+.
