It is located north-east to Yerevan at approximately 140km, 20 km long, highest point is Mt. Ijevan 2500m, with 70-300m high limestone crags, which stretch more than 10km.
The crags there have not been climbed so far, although the site with its entire beauty and huge eagles is a true Eden for climbers. It has a key advantage: along the rocks about 100m below a 4 – wheel drive road lies, intended for herdsmen, which will substantially alleviate climbers’ approach.
Even though the forest at the base of the rocks is a divine camping site, our member Andranik also offers his house as base camp in fabulous Hovq village, 4km from the rocks. A more interesting attraction than one has ever seen in Disney Land or anywhere else, awaits those , who will be hosted there. Andranik in only thirty minutes by acrobatic jumps will take the climbers to the rocks in his climbing car-Niva. After that trip you will be more venturous to climb, as an off-road drive in his car is a bit more dangerous than rock climbing.
