Climbing Camp Ashtarak is one of the most convenient climbing venues for you if you want to go climbing before or after your office day from Yerevan. It's located only 25km from Yerevan city center and will take you about 40min drive or 2500 AMD for a taxi reach. The small and beautiful canyon is a historical site, nearby Saint Sarkis church (17c) and an old bridge with a moulin over the river Kasax, which combines your climbing activity with cultural sightseeing. 

 The landowner Edik, manages the most eco fish farms in Armenia, where he grows trout using only organic food for the fish. You might want to order fish BBQ for your lunch there. 

 There are two via-cordata routes equipped and several easy grade routes for the kids and beginners. Ther trad and sport route grades vary between 4b and 6c.

Whether you are a climber or just an outdoor enthusiast, you can also camp near the river at Climbing Camp Ashtarak.
